Zero Waste Malaysia Secures Seed Funding to Accelerate Sustainable Living Mission

Zero Waste Malaysia (ZWM), established in 2016, is thrilled to announce a significant step forward in its mission for a sustainable future! We have successfully raised a substantial amount of funding to amplify our grassroots efforts in advocating for a zero waste lifestyle across Malaysia. As a non-profit community group, we are dedicated to inspiring individuals and organizations to rethink their daily actions, making conscious decisions that contribute to a greener nation. With this new funding, we aim to enhance our educational outreach by delivering more comprehensive workshops, expanding our Zero Waste Map database, and developing further resources to empower over 43,000 advocates within our community. We have already reached over 1,000,000 individuals through various talks and educational materials, but our vision remains ambitious – to engage even more Malaysians in sustainable practices. This funding will help us implement innovative programs that engage schools, corporates, and local communities, fostering a deeper understanding of the Zero Waste movement. Moreover, we plan to publish new educational handbooks and enhance the existing ones, which have already garnered over 25,000 downloads. Our vision of Malaysia as a green nation also includes enriching our community base of over 40,000 members and fostering collaborations that will bring about real, tangible change.
