Roundabout, South Yorkshire’s dedicated youth homelessness charity, is excited to announce that we have successfully raised £1,000 in our latest funding round. This critical sum will help us continue our long-standing commitment to ending youth homelessness and providing a safe haven for our young people. Since our founding in 1977, we have supported thousands of young individuals, and on any given day, over 380 young people aged 16-25 turn to us for help. Each donation, including this most recent round, goes a long way in ensuring that every young person receives tailored support alongside a secure environment to call home.
The funds raised will be allocated to a range of services designed to meet the unique needs of each individual. Many of our clients, having experienced childhood trauma and feeling undervalued, struggle to trust those around them. However, our specialized programs are dedicated to nurturing their skills, offering both emotional and practical guidance to help them break free from the cycle of homelessness. With the infusion of this funding, we intend to strengthen and expand our support services—helping more young people find stability, build a pathway to independence, and ultimately, unlock a brighter future.
At Roundabout, we understand that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to homelessness. Nevertheless, with the backing of our community and the ongoing generosity of donors, we are confident in our mission to assist each young person in forging a new route in life—one that is filled with opportunities, hope, and the promise of a better tomorrow. Together, we can ensure that every young individual is not just seen, but truly supported on their journey toward independence.
