We are thrilled to announce that riidl, the highly regarded startup incubator and innovation hub affiliated with Somaiya Vidyavihar, has successfully raised ₹10 million in funding to enhance its pioneering initiatives in nurturing emerging entrepreneurial talent. This significant investment is backed by the Department of Science & Technology, the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and Maharashtra State Innovation Society, further solidifying our commitment to creating an ecosystem where innovation can thrive. With this funding, riidl aims to expand its existing labs, which include state-of-the-art facilities such as the FABLAB for brilliant design prototyping, the DIY Biolab for groundbreaking biotech projects, and the SMAC Lab focusing on social media analytics and creativity. Moreover, the funds will enable us to host events like the Maker Mela, an engagement platform for makers and innovators from diverse backgrounds, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of cutting-edge solutions for real-world challenges. At riidl, we believe this investment will empower startups with the resources, mentorship, and technical support needed to accelerate their growth and pave the way for innovative startups to emerge from India's vibrant entrepreneurial landscape. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to seeing the impact this funding will create, not just for our incubated startups but for the larger community of innovators and creators in India.
