We are thrilled to announce that Hi Doctor has successfully raised $5,000,000 in funding to revolutionize the way taste sensitivity is assessed in clinical settings. Our groundbreaking device, the electrogustometer, addresses a significant gap in current medical practices by providing doctors with a reliable, efficient method to measure taste sensitivity—a vital parameter often overlooked in various health conditions. This innovative approach stemmed from observations made by oncologists at AP-HP Salpetriere Hospital, who recognized taste loss in their cancer patients as a critical issue requiring attention. In collaboration with medical professionals and researchers from CNRS, we have developed a cutting-edge tool that not only accelerates taste measurement to just two minutes but also ensures high precision and reliability—an advancement long sought after in the medical community. The newfound capabilities of our electrogustometer promise to simplify disease prevention, diagnosis, and patient monitoring, particularly vital in the context of COVID-19 and its link to taste disorders. Furthermore, numerous drugs and illnesses, such as tobacco use and diabetes, also negatively impact taste, making our device an essential addition to the healthcare toolkit. With this funding, we aim to enhance our research, expand our team, and pave the way for integrating this technology into everyday clinical practice, setting a new standard in patient care.
