ReNew, a leading decarbonisation solutions provider, has secured $95.0 million in new funding from investors. This capital infusion marks a significant step for the company, which is the first Indian clean energy firm to list on Nasdaq (Nasdaq: RNW). The investment will support ReNew's strategic objectives as it continues to expand its operations.
Founded in 2011, ReNew is at the forefront of addressing climate change through its comprehensive offerings, including utility-scale wind and solar projects, green hydrogen, carbon markets, and energy storage solutions. The company leverages digital technologies to accelerate the transition to green energy, particularly serving the unique requirements of the B2B segment in India, where it holds a market-leading position. ReNew's mission is to play a pivotal role in meeting India’s growing energy needs efficiently and sustainably.
The newly raised capital is intended to support ReNew’s ongoing growth initiatives and strategic projects. With approximately 28 GW of commissioned and pipeline utility-scale projects, including manufacturing capabilities, the funding will enable the company to further expand its clean energy footprint and continue its efforts in decarbonising various sectors.
ReNew has garnered international recognition for its pioneering work, including being the world’s first clean energy company recognised as a Lighthouse by the World Economic Forum and receiving the COP28 UAE Presidency’s ‘Energy Transition Changemaker’ award. These accolades underscore its leadership and innovation in the clean energy sector.
