Powering the Future: Tri-County Electric Cooperative Secures $52.9M in Grant Funding for Community Growth

We are thrilled to announce that Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) has successfully raised $52,900,000, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable, and affordable electric service to our communities. As a not-for-profit distribution cooperative headquartered in Hooker, Okla., and owned by our member-owners, this funding achievement reinforces our foundational approach of reinvesting resources back into the network and community we serve. With approximately 12,500 members and about 23,000 meters connected across the Oklahoma Panhandle, southwestern Kansas, the northern border of the Texas Panhandle, and parts of Colorado and New Mexico, this capital influx will enable us to modernize nearly 5,000 miles of distribution lines and further enhance our service reliability. The funds raised will be used to expand critical infrastructure projects, support renewable energy integration, and implement advanced smart grid technologies that prioritize system resiliency and efficiency.
