For parents looking to boost their children's English speaking confidence, Omli Kids has just closed a $1.5M Seed funding round.
The platform, which emphasizes conversational learning over rote memorization, secured capital from investors India Quotient and General Catalyst. Omli Kids aims to transform passive screen time into an active, engaging experience that helps young learners develop fluency and communication skills naturally.
Two parents noticed their kids were scrolling more and talking less. So they built an AI kids talk to, and this June raised $1.5M. We wrote the posts he hasn't. The founder is Siddhant Garg, co-founder of Omli in Gurugram.
He and his co-founder are parents who watched speech delays rise while kids traded talking for screens. They turned that worry into a bet: conversation is the antidote to passive screen time. So they built Omli, an app where a companion called Doro asks kids 3 to 10 questions and talks back, turning screen time into speaking time.
