Oh Baby! Games has secured $6,000,000 in a seed funding round to further its mission of building the next stage of gaming. The company, founded by Pasteur "Pas" Tran in 2021, aims to merge the frontlines of games and entertainment, preparing for an era of cross-game collectibles and player-empowered experiences.
The company is focused on revolutionizing the gaming industry by enabling players to contribute to and own their experiences, while also developing fun games with real-world utility. Oh Baby! Games (OBB) plans to reinvigorate popular game genres and challenge the status quo through intentional design. Their initial slate of titles is scheduled to enter open beta in the second half of 2023.
This significant seed investment was backed by notable investors including eGirl Capital, Synergis, and prominent angel investors Kevin Lin, Co-Founder of Twitch, and Serkan Toto, CEO of Katan Games. The funding underscores confidence in OBB's vision and its experienced team, which comprises individuals who have successfully launched and worked on titles such as Age of Empires II, Call of Duty, League of Legends, Crazy Fishing VR, and Magic: The Gathering.
The newly secured capital will be primarily utilized to accelerate the development of OBB's upcoming game titles, expand its operational capabilities, and strengthen its team ahead of the anticipated open beta launch. This funding is crucial for Oh Baby! Games as it prepares to introduce its innovative approach to social games and empower players within the evolving entertainment landscape. The company is strategically positioned for growth as it pushes boundaries within the gaming sector.
