Guangdong Yimu Technology Co., Ltd. has raised $148.0M in a Series E round, a significant infusion for a company that has moved fast since its founding-issuing 55 CCC and CQC certificates in just over a year and filing more than a dozen patents in the past six months.
The company, which splits operations between corporate power electronics and a consumer smart-home unit launched in late 2018, counts Xiaomi Eco-Chain’s Zhimi among its investors. It has also inked initial release agreements with platforms like Global.com and Amazon, and partnered with Huazhong University of Science and Technology on laser and sensor detection. With offices in Beijing and Shenzhen, and backing from the local government in Xiantao-including free factory space-the fresh capital appears aimed at scaling its product pipeline, which the company says has no direct market equivalents.
