We are thrilled to announce that Lincoln Agritech Limited has successfully raised $10,400,000 in funding to propel its innovative research and development initiatives forward. Established in 1964 and proudly owned by Lincoln University, Lincoln Agritech is dedicated to advancing science and engineering tailored for the environment, agriculture, and industry. This recent funding will be pivotal in furthering our mission to drive pioneering research that leads to groundbreaking technologies aimed at enhancing productivity and sustainability across New Zealand's primary sector value chain. Our multidisciplinary team, consisting of over 50 passionate scientists, research engineers, and software developers, is committed to delivering real-world outcomes. A portion of the raised funds will specifically bolster projects such as our global-leading IRRICAD irrigation design software, which ensures optimized water use in agricultural practices across more than 85 countries. Additionally, our cutting-edge Hydrometrics GW50 optical groundwater nitrate sensor will benefit from enhanced development efforts aimed at making it more accessible for monitoring groundwater quality. With projects like the Deep South National Science Challenge, involving the use of advanced 4D drones to study weather systems, we are forging ahead in addressing the pressing challenges posed by climate change. This funding round not only solidifies our role as a pivotal player in the agricultural technology landscape but also aligns our efforts with local communities, iwi, and government entities, all driving towards a better future for New Zealand鈥檚 environment and economy. We are excited about the journey ahead and the impact our research will have in nurturing the well-being of New Zealand鈥檚 people.
