International Battery Company (IBC) is excited to announce a significant funding milestone, having successfully raised $50 million to propel its mission of transforming battery technology for electric vehicles (EVs). IBC specializes in the development of proprietary I-NMC Prismatic cells, designed to deliver superior performance while minimizing complexity in battery systems. With the ability to achieve 40% higher energy density compared to traditional LFP cells, these prismatic cells are set to become a game-changer in the mobility sector, making electric vehicles more efficient and sustainable.
This recent funding round will primarily support the establishment of our non-captive Gigafactory in India, where high-volume manufacturing of IBC cells is planned. By localizing the supply chain, IBC aims to secure energy independence and ensure a sustainable, reliable production process that caters to the burgeoning EV market. While our research and development efforts continue in the United States and a pilot plant is currently being erected in South Korea, this funding will enable the swift development and delivery of cutting-edge battery solutions tailored for diverse mobility applications.
IBC is committed to not only improving the energy landscape but also contributing to a greener future through recyclable technology. The influx of capital will fast-track our efforts to meet the growing demand for high-performance EV batteries while significantly reducing our carbon footprint. We are grateful for the continued support of our investors and look forward to advancing our vision of an eco-friendly transportation ecosystem powered by IBC鈥檚 innovative battery solutions.
