Good Cycles, a pioneering not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to empowering young people through job creation, is excited to announce the successful raising of $2 million in funding. This significant investment will enable the company to further enhance and expand its comprehensive Youth Employment Program (YEP), which provides vital work opportunities and mentorship to individuals aged 18-28. Since its inception in 2013, Good Cycles has been inspired by the transformative power of bicycles, leveraging social and environmental innovation to break down barriers that young people face when entering the workforce. With youth unemployment being more than double that of older demographics, the funding will directly support Good Cycles' mission to help this vulnerable group secure safe, meaningful employment while fostering their growth through tailored coaching and inclusive workplace experiences. The funds will be allocated toward expanding the team's capacity, enhancing training programs, and developing innovative pathways into sustainable and green jobs across its four operational divisions: Good Spaces, Good Deliveries, Good Bikes, and Good People. In pursuit of a greener future, the company primarily employs eco-friendly cargo and electric bikes, ensuring an efficient and sustainable approach to delivery and logistics. With this funding, Good Cycles aims to further embed its commitment to nurturing communities, cultivating resilience among young people, and driving positive societal change through employment. Together, we can build a brighter future for generations to come.
