Genenta Science (Nasdaq: GNTA), a pioneering clinical-stage immuno-oncology company, has proudly announced a funding raise of $21,900,000 to further drive its innovative breakthrough in cancer treatment. This significant investment underscores the confidence of our partners and the broader investment community in our novel approach of utilizing hematopoietic stem cell therapies to combat solid tumor cancers. Our flagship product candidate, Temferon™, is at the heart of our mission; it is uniquely engineered to express immune-therapeutic payloads within the tumor microenvironment by leveraging bone marrow–derived myeloid cells. The objective is to generate a durable and targeted immune response that transcends traditional therapies.
The funding will primarily support advancing our pipeline in two major fronts. Firstly, we aim to optimize and expand our current clinical trials for newly diagnosed Glioblastoma Multiforme patients, particularly those with an unmethylated MGMT gene promoter. Preliminary results from our Phase 1 trial indicate the potential of Temferon™ to reprogram the tumor microenvironment by inhibiting myeloid-induced tolerance and stimulating robust T cell responses—an exciting development in breaking the barriers of immune tolerance. Secondly, we are gearing up for the next stage of our clinical journey with a Phase 1/2a study in metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma. Initiated in Q4 2024, this trial will explore Temferon™ as both a powerful monotherapy and as a complementary treatment alongside immune checkpoint inhibitors, aiming to enhance the efficacy of existing therapeutic strategies.
This funding milestone not only validates Genenta Science's innovative treatment paradigm but also propels our commitment to delivering transformative cancer therapies that promise to reshape the future of oncology.
