As a dedicated leader in lung cancer advocacy, LUNGevity is committed to funding groundbreaking scientific research with the clear vision of improving survival outcomes. Our strategic investment in early detection and innovative therapeutics is crucial in our battle against lung cancer, where current statistics show only an 18% five-year survival rate. With this new funding, we aim to bolster our initiatives that not only propel primary scientific research but also facilitate the development of patient surveys to better understand the unmet needs of those facing this formidable disease. Additionally, these funds will support our efforts in convening multi-stakeholder meetings that streamline the research process, ensuring that promising advancements reach patients more rapidly. Beyond the laboratory, LUNGevity strives to empower patients by providing extensive educational resources, online peer-to-peer support, and in-person survivorship programs designed to help patients become active decision-makers in their treatment journey.
