We are thrilled to announce that Factory International has successfully raised an impressive £106 million to propel our mission of "Inventing Tomorrow Together." This significant funding will support our transformative vision at our state-of-the-art venue, Aviva Studios. Here, we are committed to commissioning, producing, and presenting a year-round program of original creative work that spans art, music, and special events, showcasing leading artists from around the globe. Our design, led by the esteemed Ellen van Loon at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), provides a remarkable 13,350 square metres of ultra-flexible space, allowing for innovative artistic collaborations that blur the lines between disciplines and elevate the cultural landscape of Manchester and beyond. This funding will not only support the ambitious productions that Factory International is renowned for but will also fortify our ongoing connection with local communities. By engaging residents as active participants in flagship commissions and programming, we are fostering a vibrant ecosystem of creativity and inclusion. Furthermore, our Factory Academy will serve as a crucial training hub for local talent, equipping future technicians, producers, and artists with the necessary skills to thrive in the creative industries. We are excited to embark on this journey and invite everyone to join us in redefining the boundaries of art and culture. Together, we will create a dynamic space that celebrates innovation and community, embodying the ethos of the Manchester International Festival in every performance and event.
