Epilepsy Scotland is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised £3,000 through recent fundraising efforts to further our mission of supporting the 55,000 individuals affected by epilepsy in Scotland. As an organization committed to ensuring that the voices of those living with epilepsy, along with their families and carers, are heard, this funding will enable us to enhance our vital support services and educational initiatives. Our array of programs, such as the Lighthouse Youth and Respite Projects and our Wellbeing Project aimed at managing stress and seizure control, rely heavily on public support, as we face minimal statutory funding. The generosity of donors allows us to maintain our confidential Freephone helpline, provide sensitive training for parents and healthcare professionals, and disseminate essential information through accessible leaflets and an interactive website. This latest funding infusion will specifically help us expand our outreach, enabling more individuals to access our life-changing resources and support services. In a society where epilepsy remains stigmatized and often misunderstood, fostering awareness and providing comprehensive support is more crucial than ever. With your continued support, Epilepsy Scotland can strive to empower people with epilepsy to lead fulfilling lives free from discrimination and stigma, reinforcing the notion that everyone deserves to be valued and included in society. Thank you to everyone who contributed, and together we can champion the rights and wellbeing of those affected by epilepsy across Scotland.
