ENCORD, a prominent forum for industry stakeholders in the construction sector, has successfully raised €30 million in funding to bolster its mission of driving innovation and collaboration across the industry. Founded in 1989, ENCORD has established itself as a vital network within the construction sector, bringing together decision-makers and executives from leading companies and suppliers focused on European markets. As the construction industry grapples with unprecedented challenges such as digital transformation, the shortage of skilled labor, resource scarcity, and climate change mitigation, this funding is crucial for ENCORD's efforts to address these complex issues.
The raised capital will enhance ENCORD's capacity to facilitate collaborative development initiatives among its members, which include companies from both upstream and downstream of the construction value chain. ENCORD promotes innovation through five dedicated working groups focused on pressing topics: Digital Built Environment, Foresight, Health & Safety, LEAN, and Sustainability. By fostering a culture of sharing knowledge, providing strategic insights, and setting research and development priorities, ENCORD aims to empower its member organizations to overcome individual limitations and tackle common challenges collectively.
With the motto “We unite to innovate,” ENCORD is poised to play a critical role in shaping the future of the built environment. The funding will allow ENCORD to further connect participants from member organizations and external partners, facilitating discussions and integrative research through platforms such as LinkedIn. This initiative marks a significant step towards creating a more innovative, resilient, and sustainable construction industry moving forward.
