Eklavya India Foundation is excited to announce a transformative milestone as it successfully raised INR 5,000,000 to further its mission of uplifting first-generation learners from historically underrepresented communities. Founded in 2017, Eklavya has consistently demonstrated its commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty through access to world-class higher education. By providing vital exposure, mentoring, coaching, and connecting students with relatable role models, the organization has empowered over 2000 students to pursue academic excellence. The foundation’s efforts have resulted in 1200+ students gaining admission into more than 80 top-tier colleges and universities both within India and abroad, while over 400 alumni have successfully secured white-collar jobs that have significantly improved their families’ incomes.
This fresh injection of funds is pivotal for scaling up Eklavya’s proven strategy and extending its reach towards impacting 20,000 first-generation students and their families by 2030. The allocated resources will be dedicated to expanding robust programs and innovative initiatives that further enhance awareness and provide critical career transition support. In addition to increasing its mentoring and coaching capacity, the funding will also bolster strategic collaborations with global educational institutions, thereby ensuring that students from marginalized backgrounds are given every opportunity to thrive academically and professionally.
