Community Resource Credit Union, originally established by a group of Humble Oil employees back in 1935, is thrilled to announce that it has raised $825,000 in new funding. This significant milestone reinforces CRCU’s longstanding commitment to serving the Baytown, Crosby, and Atascocita communities, as well as the wider network of members throughout Liberty and Chambers Counties, including those within the Goose Creek, Crosby, Huffman, Humble, New Caney, and Barbers Hill Independent School Districts. Since its inception, CRCU has evolved into a cornerstone of local financial well-being, and this funding boost will further empower the credit union to accelerate key initiatives aimed at modernizing and expanding its services. The raised capital will be strategically deployed to enhance technological systems that drive convenient and efficient banking, upgrade facilities, and expand community outreach programs. Additionally, CRCU will invest in further enhancing its competitive employee benefits package, which includes generous paid time off, medical and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, a 401(k) match program, and even support for post-secondary education along with volunteering opportunities. Each of these initiatives is designed to enrich the lives of both member-owners and employees, reaffirming CRCU’s mission of nurturing a strong, inclusive community where financial stability and personal growth go hand in hand.
