College Possible is thrilled to announce the successful raising of $1,000,000 in funding, a significant boost that will further our mission of ensuring that a student’s future is determined by their talent, motivation, and effort rather than their socioeconomic background. As one of the largest and most effective college access and success organizations in the United States, we have dedicated over two decades to empowering over 85,700 students from underrepresented communities on their journey to obtaining a college degree. This new funding will enhance our pioneering model, which pairs eligible students with near-peer coaches and provides a research-based curriculum to help them navigate the myriad barriers associated with college admission and completion, all free of charge. Our efforts have proven impactful; College Possible students are 30% more likely to enroll in college immediately after high school and three times more likely to complete a bachelor’s degree compared to their peers from similar backgrounds. With regional sites spanning cities including Austin, Chicago, Milwaukee, Omaha, Philadelphia, Portland, Saint Paul, and Seattle, as well as collaborative partnerships in several states, this funding will help us expand our reach and support even more students nationwide. We are committed to creating a future where every student has equal opportunity to succeed, and this infusion of resources will enable us to continue breaking down barriers and fostering pathways to higher education.
