CAFNEC Secures $29,826 Grant to Boost Far North Conservation Initiatives

The Cairns and Far North Environment Centre (CAFNEC) is proud to announce a successful funding achievement, having raised $29,826 to further their many vital conservation initiatives throughout one of Australia’s most biodiverse regions. As a not-for-profit incorporated association, CAFNEC serves as the conservation council for an impressive area stretching from Cardwell northwards to Torres Strait, and from the eastern coast all the way to the Gulf of Carpentaria. This unique region is home to globally significant ecosystems including the Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics World Heritage Areas, making CAFNEC’s work both critical and timely. The funds raised will be instrumental in advancing projects that protect these ecosystems, improve local biodiversity, and address emerging environmental challenges.
