Voice of the Experienced (VOTE) is proud to announce a significant funding milestone that underscores our commitment to empowering formerly incarcerated people (FIP) and reshaping the narrative around public safety. In our latest fundraising effort, we successfully raised crucial funds aimed at advancing our mission to restore the full human and civil rights of those who have been impacted by the criminal (in)justice system. VOTE, a grassroots organization founded and run by FIP, their families, and dedicated allies, is steadfast in our belief that by harnessing our collective experiences and expertise, we can create meaningful change in Louisiana and beyond. The funds raised will primarily support our vital initiatives in community organizing, policy advocacy, and civic engagement, allowing us to provide resources, training, and leadership opportunities to individuals who have historically been marginalized. With these resources, we aim to mobilize our communities, advocate for policy reforms, and challenge the systemic inequities that underpin mass incarceration. Our vision extends beyond immediate social change; we are determined to build a future where public safety can be achieved without resorting to the destructive cycles of incarceration. As we move forward, we remain grateful to our supporters and committed to amplifying the voices of those most affected by the injustices of the system. Together, we will build the power to inspire transformative change, ensuring that the rights of all community members are recognized and restored.
