We are thrilled to announce that the Banjima Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (BNTAC) has successfully raised $2.5 million in funding aimed at fostering the continued empowerment and sustainability of the Banjima People in the central Pilbara region of Western Australia. Founded in 2013, BNTAC serves as the Registered Native Title Body Corporate for the Banjima People, fulfilling a vital role in protecting and maintaining their native title rights and interests since the determination of Native Title was granted on March 12, 2014. This significant funding will enable BNTAC to enhance its capacity to work in close partnership with Banjima's decision-making bodies, driving forward initiatives that support the preservation of Banjima culture and the stewardship of their traditional lands. With this financial backing, we are excited to expand our targeted programs that promote community sustainability, environmental protection, and economic development, ensuring that future generations of the Banjima People can thrive. BNTAC is committed to building a resilient community grounded in cultural heritage and native title rights, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all partners and supporters who made this milestone possible. Together, we are paving the way for a brighter future for the Banjima People, honoring their rich history while embracing the opportunities ahead.
