Awesome Compliance, a developer of a collaborative artificial intelligence platform for compliance professionals, has announced it has secured $1,408,804 in new funding. The company’s platform is designed to redefine compliance work by integrating human expertise with AI to assist professionals in navigating complex regulations such as GDPR, the EU AI Act, and the Data Act. It aims to enable legal and privacy consultants, alongside in-house compliance teams, to work more efficiently and deliver enhanced value to their clients.
Founded in Flevoland by Marianne de Feijter, Dick Sterk, and Roel Wessels, Awesome Compliance addresses the prevalent challenges of manual, fragmented, and slow compliance processes. The platform provides a shared workspace where domain-trained AI agents support tasks like structuring ROPAs, preparing DPIAs, and assessing AI Act risks. This collaborative environment sharpens analysis and produces high-quality documentation, allowing practitioners more time for strategic compliance questions. The company emphasizes that its technology strengthens human judgment rather than automating it.
This funding round marks a significant step for Awesome Compliance as it continues to innovate within the legal tech sector. The capital infusion will be directed towards expanding the company’s engineering and legal operations. This strategic investment aligns with Awesome Compliance's broader objective to enhance its platform's capabilities and prepare for its planned full European rollout, building on its commitment to being built and hosted in Europe.
With this new investment, Awesome Compliance is well-positioned to accelerate its development roadmap and solidify its presence as a key player in the evolving landscape of regulatory technology. The company aims to further empower compliance professionals globally, providing them with tools that ensure clearer outcomes, smoother collaboration, and trusted consistency in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
