AgroStar, one of India’s foremost AgTech start-ups, has successfully secured $30,000,000 in its latest funding round. This significant capital infusion is set to bolster the company’s mission of Helping Farmers Win by enhancing its end-to-end solutions for agricultural communities.
Founded in 2013, AgroStar addresses critical challenges faced by farmers, including limited access to quality agricultural inputs, a gap in knowledge about scientific farming practices, and a lack of access to optimal markets for their produce. The company currently serves millions of farmers across seven Indian states through an omnichannel approach, combining India’s largest Agri Advisory Center, a digital farmer network with over 7.5 million users on its app, and a rapidly expanding retail network of more than 7,000 stores.
The funding round reflects investor confidence in AgroStar's comprehensive model and its impact on the agricultural sector. The company plans to strategically deploy the new capital to scale its operations across more Indian states, strengthen its technology platform, and expand its farmer network. This investment will also support efforts to integrate more farmers into its market access programs, leveraging the capabilities gained through the acquisition of INI Farms, which connects farmers to international retail chains in over 25 countries.
AgroStar’s platform, powered by data and technology, is designed to solve problems faced by farmers at scale, building a full-stack model from inputs and advisory to market access. This funding positions the company for accelerated growth, enabling it to deepen its engagement with farmers and further solidify its standing as a leading AgTech innovator dedicated to improving agricultural outcomes across India. The company is committed to continued expansion, aiming to reach a broader base of farmers and reinforce its leadership in the AgTech space.
