We are thrilled to announce that Windmill Hill City Farm, an independent community project nestled just half a mile south of Bristol city centre, has successfully raised funding to enhance its diverse operations and expand its outreach efforts. The recent campaign, which attracted significant support from local patrons and organizations, netted an impressive sum of £150,000. This funding will be instrumental in fortifying the farm’s existing facilities and will also enable the development of new initiatives aimed at enriching the lives of our community members. Windmill Hill City Farm is much more than just a green space; it fosters a vibrant community through a wealth of social, environmental, educational, recreational, and economic activities. By investing in our day-care nursery, café, educational programs, and health and social care services, we aim to create an inclusive environment where individuals and families can thrive. Additionally, part of the funding will be allocated to upgrade our community rooms, enabling us to host an expanded range of workshops, events, and gatherings that cater to the wide spectrum of interests represented in our local population. Through these efforts, we will continue to strengthen our commitment to sustainability and community integration, ensuring that Windmill Hill City Farm remains a beloved resource for everyone in the area. We are incredibly grateful to our supporters for their belief in our mission and look forward to what we can accomplish together in fostering a healthier, happier, and more connected community.
