Vision for Sustainable Events has secured $40,174 in new funding to advance its mission of supporting the Live Events Industry in addressing the climate crisis. The organization provides vital resources, including a Forum, Supplier Directory, Resources Hub, and an annual Summit, all designed to facilitate climate action within the sector.
Established in 2010 as a non-profit group, Vision for Sustainable Events was founded on the principle of offering free-to-access shared knowledge to promote sustainability. It has since grown to represent over 1,000 event businesses through key industry body stakeholders and leaders in the field of sustainability. Its steering group includes prominent organizations such as Julie’s Bicycle, Festival Republic, and The Association of Independent Festivals, among others, underscoring broad industry commitment to its objectives.
This investment capital underscores a growing recognition of the urgent need for environmental responsibility within the live events sector. The newly acquired funds will be directed towards enhancing Vision for Sustainable Events’ existing platforms and expanding its reach. This includes initiatives to improve the user experience of its digital resources and broaden the scope of its educational offerings to event professionals.
The funding is expected to enable the organization to accelerate its mission, driving greater adoption of sustainable practices across the industry. Vision for Sustainable Events aims to continue fostering collaboration and providing essential tools to empower event professionals in their ongoing climate action efforts, contributing to a more sustainable future for the entire live events sector.
