Unseenlabs, a pioneering force in maritime surveillance, has successfully raised €92 million in a significant funding round aimed at enhancing its innovative RF detection capabilities. Founded in 2015 by the visionary Galic brothers, Unseenlabs emerged with a mission to shine a light on the vast and often neglected waters of our oceans. In an era where illegal activities, such as unreported fishing and piracy, threaten marine ecosystems and commercial interests, Unseenlabs addresses the critical need for real-time maritime monitoring. The funding will accelerate the expansion of its cutting-edge satellite constellation, which currently consists of 13 BRO (Breizh Reconnaissance Orbiter) satellites launched since 2019. Designed to detect and geolocate RF signals emitted from vessels, Unseenlabs’ technology is set to revolutionize how maritime stakeholders—including governments, NGOs, shipowners, and marine underwriters—access vital data. With ambitions to grow its constellation to 25 satellites by 2025 and the introduction of the "Generation NexT" constellation in 2026, Unseenlabs is positioning itself at the forefront of maritime safety and surveillance. The raised capital will not only bolster the deployment of additional satellites but also enhance the intelligence capabilities that protect territorial waters, secure sensitive maritime assets, and combat illegal fishing, thus ensuring the oceans remain a sustainable resource for future generations. With this funding, Unseenlabs is more determined than ever to expose the unseen, leading the way in safeguarding our oceans and promoting responsible maritime practices.
