At uFraction8, we build products around a disruptive new technology that has already established new levels of throughput for massively multiplexed microfluidic devices. Our innovation delivers superior performance and cost savings compared to traditional methods such as filtration, flow centrifugation, and flocculation. With this funding, our journey toward realizing a prosperous and sustainable future is poised to accelerate. We plan to leverage these funds to further develop and scale our cutting-edge products that maintain an unobstructed flow path, even in high suspended solid applications, where they operate efficiently up to 46% volume fraction with 99.6% +/-0.3% precision. Our technology’s ability to recover targeted particles without pore penetration and select particles by size with single digit micron precision is set to revolutionize high volume applications, ensuring only the particles of interest are efficiently extracted, which greatly simplifies subsequent processing, detection, and quality control.
Our initial focus is on sustainable bioproduction, where high costs of downstream processing have long hampered the scalability of closed bioreactor systems. With SS316L wettable components suited for both fresh and saltwater operations, our solutions are uniquely positioned to unlock economies of scale across the production of acids, bases, solvents, and aromatics.
