The fund has been strategically allocated to support pre-seed and seed-stage technology startups, with plans to invest in 20-25 promising ventures. Notably, $10M of the fund is earmarked exclusively for exceptional Manitoban founders, ensuring that local innovators have the resources and backing they need to bring their pioneering ideas to life. Additionally, $5M is set aside to seize the best opportunities beyond provincial borders, reinforcing Trillick Ventures’ commitment to identifying breakthrough innovations with nationwide potential.
A key component of the fund’s framework is a reserved 25% for follow-on investments, which will allow the firm to double down on the best-performing companies in its portfolio. This strategic reserve underscores Trillick Ventures’ long-term commitment to nurturing high-potential startups from their nascent stages through to significant growth milestones.
