Nakuru Tubers is proud to announce a significant milestone in its mission to empower smallholder potato farmers in Kenya, having successfully raised 60,000 to further expand its transformative initiatives. This crucial funding injection reaffirms our commitment to fostering sustainable change in the potato value chain while aligning with Kenya's Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), Vision 2030, and global sustainable development goals (SDGs). Nakuru Tubers leverages extensive past experiences and innovative approaches to revolutionize crop production and community resilience across the country. To date, we have trained over 1,200 farmers, providing them with high-quality seeds and hands-on guidance, and our vision is to ultimately extend our reach to 100,000 farmers by promoting climate-resilient agricultural practices.
The recently raised funds are earmarked for scaling up these impactful initiatives. With this capital, we will invest in advanced training programs, ensure broader dissemination of resilient seed varieties, and implement modern techniques to enhance soil health and crop productivity.
