Shaare Zedek Medical Center is proud to announce that it has successfully raised $5,000,000 in funding to support its ongoing commitment to providing exceptional medical care and advancing scientific research. As Jerusalem's fastest-growing major medical center, we serve over 650,000 patients annually across our two campuses, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our 450 doctors, 1,000 nurses, and nearly 900 administrative and maintenance staff. This funding will be instrumental in further enhancing our capabilities, particularly within our 1,000-bed facility that includes over 30 departments and services over 70 outpatient units.
Last year alone, our Emergency Department triaged more than 115,000 individuals, highlighting the pressing demand for immediate care in our community. With this substantial investment, we plan to expand our facilities, integrate cutting-edge technologies, and bolster our research initiatives aimed at developing innovative treatments and therapies. Moreover, we remain steadfast in our collaboration with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to ensure robust emergency preparedness, being designated as a regional center for the treatment of victims from chemical and biological attacks.
This funding not only strengthens our state-of-the-art medical services but also enables us to continue our crucial work involving over 700 volunteers who enrich our hospital's mission.
