sentra.world, a B2B SaaS carbon accounting software company, has announced it has secured $2.0 million in funding from investors. The company provides industrial businesses with a specialized platform to measure, report, certify, and reduce their carbon emissions. Its flagship product, sentra.calculus, is designed to streamline complex carbon accounting processes for a critical sector.
The company's software leverages sector-specific AI and blockchain technology to meet stringent global standards, including the GHG protocol, World Steel Association, Responsible Steel, CBAM, ISO, GRI, BRSR, and ADX. With industrial manufacturing responsible for 60% of global greenhouse gas emissions, sentra.world aims to facilitate a significant reduction in these emissions, aspiring to help businesses cut their carbon footprint by at least 50%.

The capital infusion is intended to accelerate the company's growth initiatives. sentra.world plans to use the funds to enhance its platform's capabilities, expand its market presence, and further invest in its AI and blockchain-powered solutions.
Founded in 2023 by two ex-McKinsey junior partners, each bringing over 16 years of experience in sustainability, industrial manufacturing, and digital technology, sentra.world is headquartered in Bangalore. This investment underscores the growing demand for robust solutions in industrial decarbonization.
Looking ahead, sentra.world is poised to strengthen its position as a key enabler for industrial sustainability. The company's focus remains on empowering businesses to achieve their decarbonization goals, contributing to broader environmental objectives through advanced carbon accounting and reduction tools.
