Sahyadri Farms Post Harvest Care Ltd Raises $46 Million in Series B Round to Revolutionize Agriculture Sector

In a significant milestone for the agriculture sector, SAHYADRI FARMS POST HARVEST CARE LTD has successfully secured ₹46,000,000 in funding to further its mission of transforming agricultural practices in India. Founded in 2010 by the visionary Mr. Vilas Vishnu Shinde, who hails from a small farming family and possesses a Post Graduate degree in Agriculture Engineering, the company commenced operations in 2011 with a focus on grape exports. However, its overarching goal has always revolved around sustainable development across a diverse range of crops, keeping in mind the resources available to farmers. With this latest funding, SAHYADRI FARMS plans to enhance its state-of-the-art facility located in village Mohadi, Dindori. Spanning across 90 acres, this integrated facility boasts the capacity to handle 800 metric tons per day, catering to exports, domestic markets, and consumer products in various fruits and vegetables. Since becoming the largest grape exporter from India in 2015, the company has recognized the critical gaps in the agricultural system and is committed to providing comprehensive solutions that encompass productivity, quality, and risk management. By supporting over 1,000 grape farmers and expanding its reach to more than 5,500 farmers from different crop backgrounds, SAHYADRI FARMS is poised to replicate its successful grape model across various agricultural sectors. This funding will enable the company to scale its operations and further promote sustainable farming practices, ensuring that farmers' livelihoods are not only profitable but resilient in the face of changing agricultural policies and market dynamics.
