A US-based social enterprise focused on empowering smallholder farmers in developing countries, Ricult, has closed its Series A round with $6.0M in fresh capital. Founded by MIT alums, the award-winning company builds AI/data/tech/financial-based digital solutions to address the broken agricultural value chains that keep 75% of the world's poor - farmers - in poverty.
Ricult operates at the nexus of Fintech and Agtech, currently deploying its products with over 500,000 farmers and other stakeholders in Pakistan and Thailand. Its solutions aim to provide access to affordable credit, insurance, high-quality inputs, and competitive markets, directly tackling critical pain points for its users.
