We are thrilled to announce that Mosa Meat has successfully raised €70 million in our latest funding round, a major milestone for our mission to revolutionize the meat industry through sustainable practices. Founded in 2016 following the groundbreaking unveiling of the world’s first cultured meat hamburger by our Chief Scientific Officer Professor Mark Post, Mosa Meat aims to provide an innovative solution to the impending global food crisis caused by our rapidly growing population. The initial hamburger, which cost €250,000 to produce and was funded by Sergey Brin, was just the beginning of our journey to create real meat without the ethical and environmental constraints of traditional farming. This new influx of capital will play a crucial role in scaling up our production processes, allowing us to make our cultivated meat products more accessible to consumers and ultimately get them on plates around the globe. With significant scientific breakthroughs under our belt and the cost of production steadily decreasing, we are more committed than ever to making cultured meat a staple in diets everywhere. This funding not only accelerates our commercialization efforts but also empowers us to lead the charge in creating a healthier and more sustainable food future. We are grateful for the continued support of our investors and excited to embark on this journey toward a more humane and eco-friendly alternative to conventional meat. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to launch our first products!
