A startup aiming to bring Henry Ford's mass-production ethos to the space industry has just secured a significant capital injection. Phantom Space, which develops mass-produced small satellite launch systems, announced it has raised $60.0M in a Series b funding round.
The company's vision is to drastically cut the cost of space access, promising launch prices 2-3X below current ride-share capabilities. It plans to achieve this by integrating its mass-produced launch systems with small satellites, affordable in-space propulsion, and its Phantom Cloud constellation, all designed to make space more accessible and affordable in an expanding economy.
