As a world leader in cancer research and education, Peter Mac is Australia’s only public cancer hospital, dedicated to treating approximately 42,000 patients every year across its five campuses. With a dedicated staff of 3,900 professionals, including 750 esteemed researchers, the Centre continues to uphold the vision of its founder, Sir Peter MacCallum, striving to create a “cancer centre unsurpassed … where humanity, caring service and relentless research share equal value.” This newly acquired funding will be directed towards bolstering cutting-edge research initiatives, improving patient services, and expanding education programs aimed at both healthcare professionals and the community.
