Mulilo, a prominent Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Southern Africa, has successfully secured $75,000,000 in investment capital from investors. This funding round marks a significant milestone for the company as it seeks to further expand its operations within the renewable energy sector.
Established in 2008, Mulilo has grown into a leading player in the region's renewable energy landscape. The company has a track record of concluding numerous Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) under the Department of Mineral Energy’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme (REIPPP) and with various large corporate energy users. Mulilo currently operates 450MW of wind and solar PV projects, with an additional 500MW of projects under financial close. Having adopted a strategy aligned with its long-term vision, Mulilo has accumulated a project pipeline exceeding 25GW, positioning it as a key player in the renewable energy sector.
