Manufacturers looking for more precise measurements just got a boost. K3Metrology, a spin-out from the National Physical Laboratory, has secured $2.8M in seed funding for its laser-based coordinate measurement system, Metralis.
The seed round, backed by investors including Development Bank of Wales, Parkwalk, and UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund [UKI2S], will support K3Metrology's work with Metralis. The laser-based system aims to bring precision, accuracy assurance, and automation to advanced manufacturing, helping companies measure better, move faster, and build with confidence.
