ICMTA, a unique not-for-profit organisation created by teachers for teachers in 2013, is excited to share news about its strategic financial and programmatic plans for the coming year. Although no external capital has been raised in this round, our commitment to reinvesting in our community remains as strong as ever. By maintaining a self-sustaining funding model and relying on the dedication of our over 250 members worldwide, we continue to empower a broad spectrum of practitioners—ranging from those trained or training in 5Rhythms®, Open Floor, Soul Motion, Middle Earth Medicine, Movement Medicine, freedomDANCE, Azul Conscious Movement, SomaSource, to BISO - Body in Soul—to further their personal and professional growth. Our dynamic governance framework, based on sociocracy, ensures that every member’s voice is heard, supporting our innovative approach that prioritises collective intelligence and shared responsibility over traditional hierarchies. This resourceful funding strategy allows us to channel our existing assets towards enhanced educational programs, expanded training opportunities, and more vibrant community-building initiatives. By refining our programmes and infrastructure, we aim to provide even greater support for teachers and practitioners dedicated to the transformative power of movement education. Registered in Belgium as a non-profit organisation, the ICMTA continues to redefine the landscape of teacher-led movement practices, staying true to our founding vision and demonstrating that impact is not solely measured by the amount of external funds raised but by the strength and resilience of our dedicated network. We look forward to the ongoing evolution of our work and thank all our members for their unwavering commitment to making our community stronger and more innovative with every step we take together.
