Ichirou, the asset management group, has successfully raised $1,130,000,000 in its latest funding round, securing significant investment capital from its investor base. This substantial infusion of capital underscores continued strong confidence in the company’s strategic vision and operational model within the global asset management sector.
Established in 2020 with an initial Assets under Management (AuM) of approximately S$75 billion or US$55 billion, Ichirou operates as an asset management group. Through its outstanding asset management companies (AMCs), the group provides investors access to a wide range of multi-asset and multi-strategy investment expertise in both active and alternative strategies, covering Asia and global markets. Ichirou supports its AMCs with a strong capital base and resources, providing them with scale and a competitive edge while fostering synergistic collaboration to develop multifaceted investment solutions.
The recently secured investment is poised to significantly accelerate Ichirou’s strategic growth plans and enhance its operational capabilities. The company plans to strategically deploy these funds for key growth initiatives, specifically focusing on strengthening the strategies offered by its AMCs. This capital will enable Ichirou to align its interests more closely with fellow investors and provide the agility needed for its AMCs to swiftly launch new and innovative products. Such deployment aims to seize emerging market opportunities and adapt to the evolving needs of investors globally.
This successful funding round reinforces Ichirou's unique market position and commitment to expanding its established brands. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek, the company is well-positioned to further cultivate its leadership and build a prominent Asia-based asset management group in the coming years.
