Heartland Regional Food Business Center Secures $3.7M in Funding Grant Round to Boost Local Food Businesses Across Midwest

We are thrilled to announce that the Heartland Regional Food Business Center has successfully secured $3.7 million in funding to further our mission of enhancing food system resilience in the Heartland region. Serving Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Northwest Arkansas, we are dedicated to providing tailored, hands-on support to small and mid-sized food and farm businesses, as well as empowering local and regional food initiatives. As one of the twelve Regional Food Business Centers established in 2023 with initial funding from the United States Department of Agriculture, our vision is to create a more responsive and competitive food ecosystem that uplifts diverse communities across the region. This substantial investment will enable us to expand our programming, enhance our outreach efforts, and build vital partnerships with stakeholders pivotal to advancing our local food economies.
