Healome Therapeutics, an eye care therapeutics company developing more effective, safer, and practical treatments for vision-threatening ocular surface conditions, has secured $2.7M in Seed funding. The investment round drew support from Empirical Ventures, DEBRA Research, Cure EB, Oshen Bio, and SFC Capital.
The newly raised capital will accelerate the company's work on its innovative eye drop matrix technology. This platform is designed to engineer and deliver microenvironments that encourage healing of the eye and improve the therapeutic effect of both new and existing eye medicines, with the goal of raising the standard of care in disease management.
