We are thrilled to announce that GrandSKY has secured $3.5 million in funding, further solidifying our position as the leading commercial UAS Flight Operations Center in the United States. Situated on the historic Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota, GrandSKY is uniquely poised to be the premier testing location for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) enthusiasts and innovators alike. This substantial investment will be pivotal in enhancing our state-of-the-art amenities, specifically catering to large UAS and drone testing, thereby enabling us to expand our capabilities in conducting BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) flights. By partnering with the Northern Plains UAS Test Site, we are committed to providing our tenants with unparalleled access to uncongested airspace and reliable flight schedules, both of which are crucial for effective test flights. Our cooperative agreement with Grand Forks Air Force Base permits tenants the use of a 12,351-foot runway, facilitating seamless integration into civilian-controlled airspace. With this funding, GrandSKY will not only enhance our infrastructure but also broaden the scope of research and development conducted at our facility. This investment underlines our dedication to serving the UAS community by providing a fertile ground for innovation and growth. As we move forward with this exciting chapter, we aim to attract even more cutting-edge companies to leverage our unique environment for data collection, research, and development, ultimately driving advancements in the UAS industry.
