The New Commonwealth Fund (NCF) is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised $3 million in our latest funding round. Established with the mission to reframe the landscape of philanthropy, NCF is dedicated to ensuring that Black and Brown nonprofit leaders and their communities have equitable access to critical philanthropic resources. We believe that the voices of those most affected by systemic racism must not only be heard but given a platform to lead the charge for change. With these new funds, NCF aims to expand its efforts in dismantling systemic oppression and promoting social justice.
In our first four years, we have invested over $13 million into transformative initiatives across our five pillars: Youth Development, Economic Empowerment, Health Equity, Policing & Criminal Justice Reform, and Identity & Culture Narrative. This funding will help us amplify our impact, allowing us to deepen our reach and further advance our work across these essential areas. By harnessing these resources, we aim to fortify our community projects, support innovative leadership among grassroots organizations, and ultimately foster a society where equitable solutions to racism and injustice thrive.
We invite everyone to join us on this journey, to support and advocate for a world that prioritizes equity and justice for all. With this funding, we are not just dreaming of a new Commonwealth—we are actively building it, one investment at a time.
