Freshflow is excited to announce that we have raised $7.3 million in funding to accelerate our mission of transforming how grocery retailers manage fresh products. Our innovative platform leverages advanced forecasting, replenishment, and inventory control to ensure shelves remain stocked while drastically reducing food waste—a major source of global carbon emissions. With fresh food often wasted due to inaccurate ordering practices, our technology steps in to replace guesswork with data-driven precision. Imagine the impact: while grocery retailers can lose up to 15% of fresh products because of outdated approaches, Freshflow is already enabling some of the largest retailers in Germany and France to cut food waste by 25% and simultaneously boost revenues.
This funding will fuel our research and development initiatives as we enhance our artificial intelligence capabilities, currently in collaboration with esteemed professors at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. It will also help us expand our reach across new markets, ultimately contributing to the reduction of global food waste—which accounts for more than 40% of all food produced—and its associated environmental impact. Food waste not only contributes to carbon emissions six times higher than the entire aviation industry but also results in nearly $1.2 trillion in losses annually. By providing grocery retailers with a more accurate and efficient solution, Freshflow is not only delivering substantial cost savings and profit increases for our clients but also playing a pivotal role in mitigating climate change.
