Today, we announce with a heavy heart that Momentum has raised $13 million in our final funding round, an effort aimed at supporting our commitment to fulfill our outstanding educational obligations while preparing for the closure of operations. After six productive years in the industry, the decision to wind down has not come lightly for our Board of Directors and our CEO/Co-Founder. Momentum has had the privilege of aiding over 400 individuals in their transitions to successful careers in technology, with our trained technologists securing essential positions at more than 120 companies. This funding will allow us to ensure that our remaining in-flight classes, set to conclude in March 2024, are executed with the highest quality and dedication. Our collaborations with esteemed higher education institutions and the community college system in North Carolina have not only enriched our training programs but have also fostered a vibrant community of learners and professionals. As we navigate through the challenges that have reshaped the tech landscape, our focus remains on honoring the trust given to us by our stakeholders, including corporate sponsors and community supporters who have walked this journey with us. While we approach our winding down with a sense of loss, we also carry immense pride for the collective impact we’ve made together. As we transition this phase of our journey, we extend our gratitude to everyone who believed in our mission. For any inquiries and further discussions, we encourage reaching out to Jessica Mitsch Homes or Faith Kosobucki. Thank you for being part of the Momentum story.
