Smart Works Leeds is thrilled to announce that it has successfully raised £250,000 in funding—a significant boost that will power our mission of empowering women across Yorkshire and beyond. As a proud branch of the UK charity Smart Works, our organisation is dedicated to providing women with the clothing, coaching, and confidence they need to succeed in interviews and secure meaningful employment. Since opening our doors in 2019, Smart Works Leeds has played an integral role in preparing over 1,500 women for interviews, ensuring they leave our centre ready to shine. With 11 centres across the UK serving over 30,000 women in the past decade, our proven Interview Dressing and Preparation Service continues to change lives by offering a complete outfit free of charge—one that our clients keep—as well as personalised one-to-one coaching sessions designed to bolster confidence and interview skills.
This new injection of funds will enhance our current services and support the ambitious expansion outlined in our Three-Year Plan, which aims to double the number of women we support annually and help 10,000 women each year by 2025. The funding will enable us to innovate further, reach underserved communities, and ensure that every woman who walks through our doors has access to the tools needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. As we embrace these exciting opportunities, we remain dedicated to our core mission: reducing unemployment among women by empowering them to be the best version of themselves—ready, confident, and fully prepared to meet the challenges of the professional world.
