Youth Voices Community (YVC), a dynamic, community-refugee led organization, is thrilled to announce a successful fundraising campaign, raising an impressive $5,000. This critical funding will empower YVC to continue its vital mission of raising awareness about the experiences of refugee youth while fostering their self-reliance. Established by a passionate group of refugee youth in accordance with Kenya's governmental policies, YVC plays a pivotal role in responding to the diverse needs of refugees at the community level. With a registered status under the Ministry of Culture and Social Services and an official certificate (number 01493), YVC has made significant strides since its inception. The funds raised will be directed towards expanding educational programs, mental health support, and vocational training for refugee youth in the Nasra Estate area of Kayole, creating more opportunities for integration and empowerment. By focusing on development and awareness, YVC is not only enhancing the lives of individuals but also working towards a more inclusive society where refugee voices are heard and valued. This infusion of funds comes at a crucial time, allowing YVC to amplify its impact in addressing the challenges faced by refugee youth and to build a future filled with promise and potential.
